Trollenäs is known since the 1300s and has been owned by only two descendants, Thott and Trolle. In 1559, the present castle began to be built by Tage Ottesen Thott and belonged to his family until 1682. Then it came through the exchange of Niels Trolle's widow, Helle Rosenkrantz. Her grandson Fredrik Trolle made Trollenäs and Fulltofta a video commission for his grandson Fredrik Trolle and his heirs. The property has been transferred to Trollenäs Gods AB and is still owned by the Trolle family.
At the end of the 19th century, it was transformed into a French-inspired Renaissance castle by the Danish architect Ferdinand Meldahl. The interior of the interior was entrusted to the castle architect Agi Lindegren from Stockholm.
Since 1973, Landlord Nils Trolle's son, Ulf Trolle, has been CEO. (Wikipedia)
