    “More than just water!” is the motto of the swimming lake in Issing. Rightly so. After all, it not only offers cool water for hot summer days, but is also considered one of the last pond biotopes in South Tyrol - and therefore a unique and holistic natural experience.

            Located above Chienes, a wonderful circular hike around the pond. The chapel of St. Johann in Haselried is definitely worth a detour (take a bottle of healing water with you - it helps.) Beautiful forest paths with a sculpture park built exclusively from natural materials. A visit to the herb garden and the shop below the pond is worthwhile.
