Old Town Hall (1714/18) - Dirmstein 🚴‍♂️
The Old Town Hall in Dirmstein is a listed building, built between 1714 and 1718 and opened no later than 1721. At times, it was used as a school for both denominations. However, it always served as the town hall – until 1990, when the municipal administration moved to the neighboring Sturmfeder Castle. Inmates were held in the dungeon, which is only accessible from the outside, as late as the first half of the 20th century. Later, it was used as a storage room by the municipal administration. Since 1997, the town hall has served as the "House of Associations."

The Old Town Hall is located in the town center, the Oberdorf, north of the Laurentius Church in the westernmost part of Mitteltor Street. The rear of the building forms the southeastern end of the Schlossplatz. In addition to the church, other historic buildings are located nearby, such as the St. Michael Pharmacy, the house at Marktstraße 1, and the Spitalhof. 🚴‍♂️
