Historic Town Hall (1608/84) - Bürstadt 🚴‍♂️
The town hall was built in 1608 and initially served as a schoolhouse before being destroyed by fire during the Thirty Years' War (1618-48).
It was not rebuilt until 1684. In 1725, the upper floor was constructed in its current form. The ground floor housed the fire department, the municipal scales, the night watchman, and a detention room.
The upper floor is adorned with a magnificent stucco ceiling from 1726. It contains the family coat of arms of Lothar Franz von Schönborn, Elector of Mainz and Chancellor of the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation.
The Historic Town Hall was extensively renovated in 2003. The ground floor houses the Cafe Flair. The upper floor, with its festive ambiance, serves as the "parlor" for prestigious celebrations and events.
Civil weddings can also be held on the upper floor. Catering is also available in this stylish setting. 🚴‍♂️
