In addition to the castle from the 15th century, which is already worth seeing, there is a museum for contemporary art established in 1983. The exhibition shows sculptures, pictures and a figure meadow. From the castle you have a very nice view of the surrounding country to Gunzenhausen. schlossspielberg.de/index.html

The play castle. Up here you have a great view of the Altmühltal. And in the beautiful, idyllic inner courtyard, there are some works of art. Also partly outside the wall.

Spielberg Castle was acquired by the Steinacker family of artists around 1980 and extensively renovated in the years that followed. The art gallery is very lovingly laid out. It extends over the outside area of the castle wall and the large inner castle courtyard. Today it is a gem of artistic cultural history. Each sculpture is a unique piece of a special kind, but also something you can touch.
