    A few minutes from Brussels, in the heart of Walloon Brabant, the park houses the Château de Béthune, built in 1842 on the model of the châteaux of the Loire. It is surrounded by a perfectly symmetrical French garden, decorated with decorative statues. The Château de La Hulpe is now owned by the Walloon Region.

    The castle is not open to the general public, but is suitable for all kinds of events.

      Domaine Solvay, named after the industrialist Ernest Solvay, is a public park in the municipality of La Hulpe in the Walloon Region in Belgium.
      The Solvay domain is part of Wallonia's most important heritage. It covers 227 hectares of forest, lawn and ponds. There are more than 450 species of wild plants (ferns and flowering plants), 130 types of mosses and liverwort as well as many remarkable trees.

              The path which crosses the Solvay estate and which passes near the Château de La Hulpe is in good condition and has only a few holes filled with water... but easily avoidable.
