In the Upper Ahr Valley, in recent years, a Bahntrassenradweg has been created in large sections. Some engineering structures such as retaining walls and bridges could be obtained. The former railway combined the Bf. Blankenheim forest with the Rhine at Remagen. In the lower section between Ahrbrück and Remagen the track is reactivated. Only the Ortsdruchfahrt Blankenheim is uncomfortable to drive (steep, street), since one has renounced on a reconstruction of the route.
