Great pass road, spectacular especially from the Imst side, here the route leads through a very steep slope high above the valley floor and over debris cones with the best view of the surrounding mountain peaks. The incline on the Imst side is moderate, with no major peaks, and it's easy to find a good step. On the Elmener side it is much more uneven to the point, in the middle there is also a longer, almost flat section, there is also a short intermediate gradient. On the descent to Elmen, things get really fast on the last stretch into the Lech Valley.
Very popular with the moped faction, if possible you should tackle a tour in the early hours of the morning, then you can still enjoy the mountains in appropriate silence.
