Lido di Jesolo spreads between the rivers Sile and Piave. At the Piave estuary lies the former fishing village of Cortellazzo. At the mouth of the river there is a lighthouse.
Jesolo's economic foundation is tourism. In its heyday, Jesolo had up to six million visitors a year, in recent years, this number dropped to about 5.3 million annually. Along the south side of the lagoon there are numerous campsites and hotels of all price ranges.
