One of the most attractive recreational areas in Leipzig is the Wildpark Leipzig in the southern floodplain forest. On the approx. 46 ha large area about 25 animal species with approx. 250 animals are kept. As a result, the wildlife park Connewitz complements the animal species composition with other livestock facilities in the city of Leipzig such as the Zoo Leipzig, which shows superficially exotic animals, or the pet zoo of the company Bauersfeld, where visitors can see different domestic breeds.
