Until 1972, bread was baked in Hausener Bachmannstraße, after which the buildings stood empty for a while. In the early 1980s, a group of activists from the Frankfurt Sponti scene took the initiative and founded a cultural center. For example, the historic industrial building of the Hausener Brotfabrik is home to one of Frankfurt's oldest self-governing centers. Among other things, the association Kulturprojekt 21 organizes a broad program with concerts, club nights and numerous other events such as readings, discussions on social topics, lectures or film screenings.

The historic industrial building of the house bread factory houses one of the oldest self-governing centers in Frankfurt. Here, among other things, the non-profit association Kulturprojekt 21 e. V. is a socio-cultural center with a wide range of events: Every year around 60 concerts, 100 club nights and numerous other events such as readings, discussions on social issues, lectures and film screenings take place in the large hall of the rustic and charming industrial building.
