The "Lady of the Mountains" chapel is located on the Kapellenberg near Heimbuchenthal. From up here you have a great view of the valley of the Spessart.

The story of the "Lady of the Mountains" chapel is very moving. Because of the poor economic. Location in the Spessart between 1750 and 1950, many Spessarter emigrated. Popular destinations in the 18th century were southeastern Europe and in the 19th century. and 20th century the United States in America. The Heimbuchenthaler Konrad player also lived there. When his brother Peter PLAYER (1797-1869) wanted to visit him in America, his ship got into a bad storm on the high seas. Peter PLAYER vowed to build a chapel if it was saved, which happened. In 1853, Speiler applied to have a chapel built on the path between Heimbuchenthal and Volkersbrunn. The field chapel "Mistress of the Mountains" (the name may come from the beautiful panorama) was given a vestibule in 1930.
