Sygard Grytting means something like "Here piles stand firmly in the stone". It is a wooden church from around 1300 with a medieval building used as a dining room for pilgrims. The farm has been owned by the family since 1534, offering dinners and a guided tour of the medieval buildings.
You should definitely spend a night on this ancient but beautiful farm if possible. There are places in the world where you feel at home straight away - this is one of them.
