In the forest near Rottal is the northernmost point of Austria, which is marked by an unspectacular stone. The Rottaler Bach is the border with the Czech Republic. This is also where the Eisenwurzenweg starts, which leads in 28 stages to Austria's southernmost point on the Carinthian Seeberg saddle.
