From the car park at Upper Lake, a path leads up over the Poulanass Waterfall ... which is steep and with countless steps. The path over Miners Village is not quite as steep and goes zig zag way.

Shortly after the small wooden bridge that leads over the little water leading Glenealo River, the path begins over the railway planks. From here you have great views over the picturesque valley with its famous lakes.
