The Port of Skagway has three docks for large cruise ships. The cruise season begins in mid-April and ends in mid-October. In the high season from mid-May, three to five cruise ships dock in the port every day. In addition, the Alaska Marine Highway System (AMHS) ferries use the port year-round, providing both passenger and vehicle ferry services to communities throughout Alaska.
