Large sewing companies have long been the biggest employers for women in Sri Lanka. With rising labor costs, the interest and attention of the textile industry has long since fallen to other countries. Bangladesh and China are ahead. This little women's cooperative tailors and sews for Decathlon, one of the few who still produces in Sri Lanka.
