Saaremaa is also known for its windmills. Of the once twelve windmills in the village, four of the original post mills and one Dutch windmill are still preserved today. The oldest is from 1880, the youngest from 1927.

The end of the 19th century built cap wind mill was until 1941 in operation. In the 1970s, it was restored and a café opened in it.
