The Bible Garden of the Bible Center St. Johanniskloster Schleswig was created in 1996/97 by the landscape gardener Gudrun Lang from Hamburg. Here are shown biblical plants that can grow in the northern German climate. There are also symbols of the Jewish-Christian tradition and legend.

The front, self-contained part of the garden has the typical form of a monastery garden in which the paths form a cross.

The boulder in the center of this part is reminiscent of a biblical story: Moses at the behest of God, beats water from the rock with his staff for the thirsty people of Israel (Exodus 17).
The sculpture park behind it under old trees contains more biblical plants as well as symbol plants and stone sculptures with biblical motifs.
Bible garden and sculpture park are freely accessible all year round.
