On the Rotbühl is the 127-meter-high transmitter Amberg, which can be seen from afar. There is also a cross-country skiing center and numerous hiking trails or trails around the transmitter. On the Rotbühl, the Deutsche Funkturm, subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom AG, operates the Amberg transmitter, also known as the Hirschau 1 radio transmission center, for digital television (DVB-T) and FM radio. A 127.6 m high, braced steel truss mast is used as the antenna carrier. The base of the transmitter is at 667 m above sea level. NN.

the Rotbühl transmitter is the destination of many mountain bikers from all directions. The point is the second highest (668m) on Buchberg. Once there, you can tackle countless downhill trails.
