ハイキング
The castle ruins are a beautiful hiking and walking destination with refreshment stops. It offers a wonderful view over Weinheim and the Rhine Valley, in good weather up to the Palatinate. The ascent from Weinheim takes about half an hour for the inexperienced and then continues to the Wachenburg ... it's definitely worth it.
The Burgschänke with its small beer garden invites you to linger (attention: only open by reservation!). Not tried it myself, but the knight's meal should really be a success.

Great view of the city and surroundings.
Unfortunately it is closed for renovations at the moment. But the parasols are locjing from below!
