The track park (actually: "ecological priority area Baumkirchen center") was opened in May 2019. On an old railway operating area, a somewhat different park was created there, following the example of the Schöneberg south area in Berlin and similar projects. The railway-typical wild growth and remnants of the former railway operations were left (including a turntable!), A concrete walkway leads through, with individual docked seating areas.
Well done! One can only hope that the bill of the planners will work out and that the use can be steered sufficiently to make room for the city wilderness successfully. The lizards scurry around anyway. And you can not leave the jetties either, in fact real pitfalls lurk here and there. So: would be nice if everyone would comply with the Weggebot.

The way through this area is to my taste: industrial history and nature. Completely prepared, protected and experienced. My visit has startled a rabbit. I almost apologize for that.

The old railway depot has been renaturalized; a concrete path leads through the old tracks to an old turnstile. Many small lizards cross the path. I didn't see any birds or butterflies.
