The building is an old Burgmannshof from the 16th century. Eleven are said to have existed in Nienburg and their purpose was to protect the castle in the middle from attacks and raids.

The exact year of construction is unknown. One source dates it to 1516, but its reliability is disputed. What is certain is that it is older than the extension, which was completed in 1560, as can be seen from the year in the crossbar.

In the course of its turbulent history it was the seat of the eponymous Count von Hasberg family, Count Tilly is said to have resided here around 1625, it was temporarily a starch factory, around 1900, between the Wilhelminian period and the beginning of Art Nouveau the interior was renovated and with it today for the most part preserved stucco, it was a parish center and finally gastronomy since the early 2000s.
