The earth station Fuchsstadt is an earth station in the Lower Franconian district of Bad Kissingen on the territory of the municipality Fuchsstadt. It was built by the Deutsche Bundespost and is currently operated by the US company Intelsat.
The earth station Fuchsstadt serves as a ground station for communication with news satellites and allows, inter alia, satellite-based telephone calls, Internet connections and television broadcasts. Until the 1990s, Fuchsstadt was a major hub of the global communications network; This importance has been lost, because now the vast majority of continental and intercontinental communications is handled by fiber optic cable.

At present, the earth station consists of more than 50 parabolic antennas, including two 32-meter diameter A-type antennas and about 25 others, each measuring more than 9.3 meters. The earth station is thus one of the largest satellite communications systems in the world. It is also Intelsat's first earth station in Europe and the largest of the six operating the company. With its large parabolic antennas, it is widely visible in the Saale valley.
