The source is located within the Montseny Natural Park, located on the left bank of the Font de Vallfigueres stream and about 200 meters south-east in a straight line from the Vallfigueres house that gives it its name. In a path that leaves the Vallfigueres path, we find an iron spout that springs up and supplies water to the Torrent de la Font de Vallfiguera.

To get there you can go from Cànoves in the direction of La Garriga along the BP-5107 road. At approximately kilometer point 38.8 we leave the access to the farm of Can Messeguer on the left (nowadays a riding school) and only a hundred meters further on we find a forest track that leaves on the right, barred to unauthorized motorized traffic . We can park the vehicle here, as there is space for two or three cars on the side of the road.

The orography of the southern slope of the Montseny massif facilitates a series of closed valleys and ravines, with a north-south axis, at the bottom of which run streams and torrents that supply water to the many springs of the area, which exceed thirty . These minor river courses drain into the plain, mainly into the Vallforners or Cànoves stream, tributaries of the Mogent river, or into the streams and creeks of the Congost river watershed.
