On the way to the yellow rock you will pass a former glider airfield that existed on the Teck from 1934 until the 1960s. In the meantime everything is overgrown and only the foundation walls of the aircraft hangar are left. A sign gives information about the history of the airfield. There is a small barbecue area next to the aircraft hangar.
