Ginučiai Watermill is one of the most memorable symbols of Aukštaitija National Park. The old wooden building of the mill, the bridge and the dam are often the starting point for travelers who want to explore this lake-dotted part of Lithuania with its picturesque landscape. The mill was built on the Svė River in the second half of the 19th century and was in operation until 1968. The one-storey mill with a shelter was built by Gimžauskas, the owner of the Linkmeni manor. The Aukštaitija National Park is very original. Lakeland landscape with sparse forests. You can go cycling here and kayaking. Even multi-day tours are offered. In Palûšė is a small national park center. There you will receive a small hiking, cycling and canoeing guide.

The mill is a listed building as a historical technical facility from the nineteenth century.
According to legend, the mill is haunted at night by the devil, who plays pranks here.
On hot summer days, you can cool off in the stream.
During our stay in May 2024, unfortunately both the mill and the restaurant were closed.
