The climb is approximately ten kilometers long, with sections ranging from twelve to 14 percent steepness. The first half is steeper than the second half, all the way to the top. The road is paved throughout and easy to navigate. Because it's a toll road and more of a side road than a main route, there's very little traffic. At the top, you'll be rewarded with a magnificent view of Villach, Lake Ossiach, and the Karawanks.

Beautiful, demanding climb. You drive most of the time through the forest, so that you are protected from the sun, but you also have little chance. The surface is good and you get downhill at his expense.
