This chapel was built between 1922 and 1926, when inflation and unemployment prevailed in Germany. But by 1950, the building had to be demolished, and from 1954, the current building.
This chapel, located on the Dettinger Priorberg, is dedicated to Saint Joseph, the nursing father of Jesus Christ. Like Zacharias, the father of John the Baptist, he is a man on the threshold from the Old to the New Testament. Joseph was from the house of David, one of the twelve tribes of Israel. He was a carpenter by trade and the fiancé of the Blessed Mother Mary. The feast day of Saint Joseph in the saints calendar is on March 19th, and on May 1st the church celebrates the feast of "Joseph the Worker".
