Punto Union is a high mountain pass in the Cordillera Blanca massif. The pass is the highest point (4,750 m) of the Santa Cruz Trek in Huascarán National Park and offers beautiful views of snow-capped peaks of the surrounding 6,000-meter mountains, glaciers and lakes.
The Punta Union pass is part of the Continental Divide. The water in the mountain stream of the Quebrada Santa Cruz flows into the Pacific, while the Quebrada Huaripampa drains into the Atlantic.
