Madonna della Corona is a place of pilgrimage in the Italian municipality of Ferrara di Monte Baldo in the province of Verona in Veneto.
The forerunner of the place was a hermitage (hermitage) since the end of the 12th century, the inhabitants of which were connected to the monastery of St. Zeno from Verona. In the 15th century the first church was built into the rock. From 1437 the small church and the hermitage are tied to the "Commenda of the Jerusalem Knights" (later called "Rhodes Knights" and then "Order of Malta"). This relationship continued until 1810, under Napoleon Bonaparte, the entire order of the Order of Malta was confiscated.
The pilgrimage church and the buildings surrounding it were extensively restored from 1974 to 1978.
In 1978, Bishop Giuseppe Carraro consecrated the rebuilt church and the new altar; In 1982 the church was awarded the title "Basilica minor". On April 17, 1988 Pope John Paul II visited the pilgrimage site and prayed to the Madonna.
