This section of the Boreal Trail gives you a real feel for the park’s landscape, with mostly shaded stretches through spruce, pine, and aspen, and occasional openings where you catch glimpses of Lac des Îles. The path here is well-groomed, with only a small patch of longer grass, making it one of the smoother portions of the route. It still carries the wild atmosphere the Boreal Trail is known for—quiet, remote, and a good chance of spotting loons or beavers near the shoreline—while staying accessible and easy to follow.
