      The castle ruins Dobra is one of the most beautiful ruins of medieval castles of the Kamptales and still gives a vivid picture of the size of the former manor house.

      During a visit you can experience the atmosphere of the Middle Ages between the old ruined walls, cellar vaults and towers as well as the modern in the new function room next to each other up close!

        The mighty castle ruin Dobra lies on a promontory that protrudes far into the Dobra reservoir. It was once the ancestral seat of a branch of the ministerial dynasty of the Lords of Dobra and was first mentioned in a document in 1278. The stretched, spacious facility has two entrances in the north and south, is 95 m long and 37 m wide.
