This remarkable beetle is armed with the insignia of the Nordhausen Roland Group: a crown, sword, witch's broom, hunting hat, tobacco pipe, hunting bag, and telescope. Since 2018, Zwahebro has been perched on the steps leading to the Nordhausen town hall.
This beetle was designed by students in Class 02 of the St. Martin Special Needs Center. The funding was provided by the St. Martin School Support Association.
There are 24 other stair beetles in existence, one of which is unfortunately missing.
