Still an imposing and powerful building full of old legends. The castle has been renovated and made accessible to tourism. Visits are possible with or without a guide. The puzzle tours with knight spirit Hugo are also a lot of fun for children.

Impressive castle ruins, especially because this was built (hewn) in the rock. From the highest Burgebene you have a wonderful view of the Vosges and the Palatinate Forest.

The rock path (Sentier de Roches) between Col de Hohenbourg and Langenfels is m.E. a highlight in this region. The pictures can not play that. You have to have experienced the way always on the ridge along with great views and rock formations that are down times to climb up times. A zimliches tangle of possibilities and ways but all on a not very wide ridge along. Then I would see the Krappenfelsen and the castles like Wegelnburg. But also a matter of taste. For me clear Felsenweg I get only here and reminded me something of the Saxon Switzerland. Tread resistance is in part in demand for the rocks and root systems.
