It is one of the parish churches of the parish.
On the site of the present church, dating back to the 13th century, a wooden church previously stood, the remains of which were preserved beneath the floor of the nave.
They were discovered during restoration (1960).
The lime paintings in the vault of the nave were created in the second half of the 13th century.
