The ensemble of moated castle and the church with the old tower is always worth seeing. Driving through the old archway of the estate towards the forest you can already see the Ith tower, built in 1912 by my great-grandfather.
Bisperode Castle is a listed moated castle in Bisperode. The Prince-Bishop of Paderborn, Hermann Werner von Wolff-Metternich zur Gracht, had the complex built between 1694 and 1700 on his family's fief. Previously, the manor house of the extinct von dem Werder family likely stood on this site.
