Susiluola is a cave located near the village of Karijoki, on the slope of Susivuori hill. It is considered significant because it may hold archaeological evidence of prehistoric human activity dating back to Paleolithic times 120,000 to 130,000 years ago, though the interpretation of these findings remains debated.
At the top of Susivuori hill, there is an observation tower that is also worth visiting for its views. The parking area is about 400 metres from the cave, but if the walking distance is a concern, the a dirt road continues for about two more kilometres to another car park located even closer to the cave entrance.
