Houstrup beach lies behind beautiful dunes. The beach is not that crowded. The large parking is free. The toilets are free and clean.

The hiking trails in the dunes between Henn Strand and Nymindegab are really recommendable! You rarely meet people here, but animals of all categories. From horses and cows to hares and deer, everything is represented here. On the beach, with luck, you can see robes and, very rarely, a porpoise.

The Houstrup region is not far from Henne Strand. It is not far to the Danish North Sea coast and there is a lot to discover here. The beautiful sandy beach in Houstrup is well suited for long walks.
Nature plays an important role in this region. You can discover native and migratory birds south of the Ringkøbing Fjord or you can make a trip to the Blue Mountain. The 64-meter high dune, which is named after the highest point in the area, the "Blåbjerg" (Blue Mountain), is located within a plantation. Here you can make great walks and bike rides. Also for mountain biking this area is ideal.
In any case, a trip to nearby Bork Havn is definitely worthwhile - a charming fishing village with lots of atmosphere and a marina.
