Anjum is a village with about 1,000 inhabitants in the Dutch province of Friesland.
Anjum was probably founded around the year 1000 by a man named Ane on a mound. At the flood of All Saints in 1570 530 inhabitants died. In the Christmas flood of 1717 53 inhabitants lost their lives.
From 1913 to 1935 Anjum was the terminus of the Dokkumer Lokaaltje, a North Frisian railway line. The train stop is still standing today.
In Anjum there is the Michaëlkerk, a built in 1100 church from tuff.

The windmill "De Eendracht" was first mentioned in writing in 1511. From 1969 to 1972 the mill was restored to working order. It is put into operation on Saturdays and can be visited. From the windows at the mill head you have a beautiful view of Anjum and the surrounding area. Old agricultural tools can also be seen in the mill.

1 April to 31 October
Tuesday to Saturday: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Sunday: 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Monday closed

Saturday: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
