Bridge over the Zenne that rises in the hamlet of "Naast" and flows further towards Brussels to flow into the Dijle at the Zennegat. Very quiet area for walking and cycling here.
The Battle of Steenkerke was an important battle of the Nine Years' War, which took place on 3 August 1692 near the village of Steenkerke in Hainaut between a French army and an Anglo-Dutch army under King-Stadtholder William III of Orange. The battlefield was located just west of the village center. Today there is an educational map with information boards around the battlefield.
