The Gauss-Weber monument shows the invention of the electromagnetic telegraph. The wire that Gauss originally held in his hand no longer exists today.
At the time of this invention in 1833, Gauss was already 56 years old, but Weber was only 29 years old. The memorial does not reveal the difference in age between the people; rather, they appear to be of the same age.
