Suddenly you encounter a puddle on the path...
It turns out it's not a puddle, but the Voer River itself. Do you turn back and choose a different route? I only had about 3 kilometers to go to 's Gravenvoeren, so I thought - I'll just do it. I'm used to wet shoes. It turned out to be knee-deep in the summer of 2025 - sometimes it will be drier and you can walk dry with waterproof shoes - sometimes it will carry more water. The ground is hard - no mud. So... who dares?
