Kleinhesseloher Lake and Seehaus

Kleinhesseloher Lake was created by Reinhard von Werneck at the beginning of the 19th century, when Schwabing was still a village. His successor, Friedrich Ludwig von Sckell, expanded it to its current size. Kleinhesseloher Lake gets its water from the Oberstjägermeisterbach stream, a branch of the Eisbach stream.

Swimming is prohibited there. In good weather, you can row or pedal boat around the lake's three small islands. A beer garden is located directly on the water, which is also open in winter. It is especially popular then with those who need a refreshment after ice skating or playing ice hockey on the frozen lake.

You can cycle through the English Garden and the Isar meadows without traffic lights or traffic.
