Dear donkey friends, welcome!
Since 1991 we have been breeding large donkeys in the Forstbachtal at the Loreley. Our goal is to raise healthy, resilient and well-proportioned large donkeys in a species-appropriate manner. At the same time, we are working on usage concepts for donkeys - be it in the educational and therapeutic field, in training them as draft and pack animals, in use for land maintenance or for tourism. We offer our know-how from three decades of working with large donkeys in courses and workshops.
Donkey hike
Date: by arrangement
A guided hike with donkeys to the most beautiful places on the Rheinsteig around the Loreley. You can book alone, as a couple or as a very small group.
Duration: 3-4 hours
Your contribution: €50.00 for the guide - plus €40.00 per participant
Leading a donkey
Duration: 2 days, appointment by arrangement
If you can lead a donkey, it will also be easier to lead people. If the donkey doesn't follow you, the cause is often your body language. This is not only read and interpreted by donkeys, but also by people.
During these two days, you will learn to consciously perceive your own body language and that of others and to use it consciously. The reward is a long walk with your donkey, which follows you willingly.

Date: 2 days, appointment by arrangement
This weekend is exclusively for encounters between humans and animals. You will enter into a constant interaction with our animals, observe them, approach them, make contact with them. You will learn that strong, healthy animals have a great deal of power that can be transmitted. You will discover a lot of ways in which you can spend your time with donkeys and how beneficial this will be for you.

Training donkeys
Date, duration and location: by arrangement
Donkeys also need to be trained if the human-donkey relationship is to be a lasting joy. If you have problems dealing with your donkey, we will be happy to help you find the right language and achieve clear communication. We will be happy to come to you for this.
