ATTENTION cyclists: at the barrier it says that you are not allowed to enter the area by bike. But there is no safe parking space and with (e-) bikes that cost several thousand euros these days, I would never leave it standing in front of the barrier.
If you push the bike in, there is at least a sign that officially allows you to tie the bike to the very sturdy wooden beam fence on the left. There it is behind the barrier, relatively well secured and visible from most of the site.
Nevertheless, I saw many visitors pushing their bikes - but not driving! - I took it upstairs, which I can understand very well, especially when it comes to expensive bikes. As long as you don't want to visit the inside of the chapel, I can't really see why a pushed bicycle would bother anyone. The paths have split surfaces, are wide enough for everyone and you don't bother each other if everyone shows just a little consideration. Which should be taken for granted.
