Historic Site | Brdów, Poland
This modest yet significant monument commemorates the Battle of Brdów, fought on April 29, 1863, during the January Uprising against the Russian invaders. Many insurgents died in the battle, including their commander, Léon Young de Blankenheim, a French officer fighting on the Polish side.
