The museum is located in the former Scheibenhof workshop, built in 1888, one of the oldest surviving workshop buildings from the former Imperial Shipyard. This listed building is located in the Verbindungshafen, an old part of the naval port, near the Kaiser Wilhelm Bridge. In the immediate vicinity is the Südstrand-Promenade, an established leisure and tourism focus of Wilhelmshaven with the UNESCO World Heritage Wadden Sea Visitor Center (National Park Center) and the Wilhelmshaven Aquarium.
Located directly next to the Kaiser-Wilhelm Bridge. In 1888 the imperial shipyard building was built, which is now the German Navy Museum. The visit is worthwhile.
