The Aiguillette du Lauzet via ferrata, in the Cerces massif, offers a sporty and panoramic ascent to the pre-summit, located at 2,611 meters above sea level. Renowned for its spectacular views of the surrounding mountain ranges—particularly the Écrins—it is distinguished by the overall length of the route, both on the approach and return.
The route winds through a varied alpine environment, including high-altitude pastures, rocky valleys, and commanding views of the Guisane Valley. During the ascent, the panorama opens up to the Barre des Écrins, the Grand Galibier, and the Montagne des Agneaux, providing a majestic backdrop for the ascent.
The recommended time for this hike is from late June to September, when the route is generally free of snow and weather conditions are most favorable.
A sumptuous route, requiring good physical condition, sure-footedness, and the ability to manage a full-day effort.
