"Tatar Grobla" is a historical name associated with the presence of Tatars in the vicinity of Oświęcim.
Where did the name Tatar Grobel Street come from?
The story is connected to the route to the market in Kamieniec, which the inhabitants of Monowice and Włosienica used. They were customarily called Tatars.

Everything indicates that the trail leads even further, to their neighbors across the Vistula River – Żarki. After the Polish invasion in 1241, the Tatars are said to have settled there.

About their connections with the Chrzanów region and the origins of the cabani.

who were called that. They supposedly settled near Chrzanów, and this
influenced the name "Caban" :-)
